Roof Financing Options

Roofing projects are big investments. Whether they are planned or not it can be hard to prepare, financially, for a roof replacement or repair work. At KPost Company, we understand the stressful nature of these types of projects, and that is why we have roof financing options. We want to make the roof replacement process as stress-free as possible.

Why Roof Financing Is a Good Idea

Sometimes your situation calls for a new roof, whether you have all the funds or not. That’s the beauty of roof financing. It’s a loan designed specifically to remove that stress factor from any homeowner’s roofing project.

How Roof Financing Works

Roof financing lets you spread the cost of a repair or replacement over monthly payments instead of paying the full amount when the work is done. KPost offers financing through HFS. You apply, the lender reviews your application and tells you what you qualify for, and once the work is complete the lender pays for the project while you repay the lender on the agreed terms.

Terms vary by lender and by applicant, so it pays to read the offer carefully before you sign. The questions worth asking any lender are the same. What is the interest rate, and is it fixed? How long is the term, and what does that make the monthly payment? Is there a promotional period, and if so, what happens if the balance is not paid off by the time it ends? Some promotional offers defer interest rather than waive it, which means the full interest from the start of the loan comes due if any balance remains. Finally, is there a penalty for paying the loan off early?

Financing is often the difference between replacing a failing roof now and patching it for another season, and patching a roof that needs replacing usually costs more over time.

Financing and Insurance Claims

If your roof was damaged by hail or wind, your insurance claim may cover most of the cost, and financing can fill the gap. The most common gap is the deductible, which in Texas the homeowner is responsible for paying. Upgrades that go beyond restoring what was damaged, such as moving to impact-resistant shingles or adding ventilation, are another.

Timing is the other consideration. Insurance payments on a replacement often arrive in more than one installment, particularly on replacement cost policies where the insurer holds back part of the payment until the work is finished. Financing can cover the project while those payments are in process. We can walk you through how your claim and financing fit together before any work starts.
