The opening of the landmark Omni Dallas Convention Center Hotel was one of the city’s most-anticipated highlights of 2012. KPost Company’s participation in the project went beyond just 20+ unique roof assemblies to also include specialty installations of the outdoor patio and pool deck surfaces. The finished project earned several industry awards and recognitions for KPost Company including a Gold Circle Award from the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA).
FULL STORY: Located in the center of revitalized downtown Dallas, the Omni Dallas Hotel is connected via sky bridge to the Dallas Convention Center. Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Larry Hagman and Linda Gray (J.R. and Sue Ellen Ewing from the “Dallas” TV show), the new hotel formally opened Nov. 11, 2011. Owned by the City of Dallas, the $500 million hotel features 1,001 guest rooms, including 67 luxury suites and three presidential suites. The Omni Dallas Hotel is built to meet U.S. Green Building Council LEED® Silver certification standards, placing it on the forefront of environmental awareness and conservation in the city. Its 110,000 square feet of meeting space reflects Dallas’ his- tory and style.
